The US remake is pretty horrible. The original four French movies on the other hand are great.

Haha, Jesus, if the movie featured a car, it qualifies for this list. Great reviews, by the way.

Fuck it, Speed Racer was fantastic and I won't be convinced otherwise!

Nice list, although I wouldn't call Gran Torino an "action-packed thriller"! It was more of an emotional dram with some suspense and humor elements. Also it has absolutely nothing in common with the Big Lebowski besides the car. I love both movies though!

Between Taxi and Ronin, the 406 has starred in a surprisingly diverse range of car chases.

the first two were great, the third was good, the fourth was barely sufferable

Don't do it, kid.
Do yourself a favor and watch the original 4 from French director Luc Besson, who incidentally also made the shitty one with Fallon in NYC

Don't forget the B-grade before-there-was-Fast-and-Furious-there-was: "Catch Me If You Can (1989)". NOT the Leonardo de Caprio film from '02. Gearhead high schooler bets fundraising money on drag races with shark, weird backstory ensues, some lame comedy lines and cheesy love story (very small part fortunately) but loaded and I mean LOADED with cool cars:
http://www.imdb.com/title/tt009702…
edit - holy CRAP this thing grossed 7 million in europe! Wow! Not bad for an $800,000 budget in 1989.

That's an editorial decision.
